Members of St. Johns United Methodist Church discovered approximately two dozen grave sites and their church social hall and classrooms vandalized early Wednesday.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office has charged 23-year-old Justin Clay Walker of a Blue Lake Circle address in the crime. The incident was discovered and reported to lawmen before 8 a.m. Wednesday morning and Walker was picked up by deputies just over two hours later, according to Sheriff Ramsey Bennett.
Walker is charged with burglary and multiple counts of criminal damage to property. Bennett says the total number of counts and cost estimate of the damage is still being figured.
