Ludowici militia case stalls after attorney quits

Heather Salmon sat alone inside a Long County courtroom Thursday. She’s accused of participating in the 2011 death of Michael Roark and Tiffany York.

The murder suspect was represented by Charles Nester, but he wasn’t there. Judge Robert Russell told the courtroom nester asked to leave the case because he says Salmon’s mother threatened him.

His absence stalled the case, but York’s mother hopes it picks up soon. “I don’t feel anything for her,” said Brenda Thomas.
